The Misuse of Drugs (Safe Custody) Regulations 1973 (the Safe Custody Regulations) imposes controls on the storage of controlled drugs.
The degree of control depends on the premises within which the drugs are being stored.
Particularly stringent requirements apply to retail premises and certain care homes.
