Constructing a raised platform
A raised platform was required to enable safe, high level access for the maintenance of machinery. The colour has to be discreet and durable, with easy access essential to the base of machinery. Finally, the platform has to fit through a double door entrance.
Powder Coated in a Polyester Gloss
Following a site visit, a design was decided upon and CAD drawings produced.
The solution was a raised secure gantry with cat ladder, all powder coated in a Polyester gloss grey finish.
The top half of the gantry is of a fully welded construction manufactured using a combination of box and tubular ERW steel.
An Aluminium tread-plate was to be used for the floor for safety purposes and long lasting appearance.
The legs are manufactured from SHS Box section with support braces welded to the top section of the legs, this was to minimise any movement caused when working on top of the Gantry.
The Cat-ladder is a fully welded construction using Bright drawn flat and round bar.
Both the Legs and the Cat-ladder are bolted to the gantry; this allows the unit to fit through a set of double doors prior to assembly.
Once assembled and positioned the raised access gantry was bolted firmly to the floor.
We produced a durable, high access gantry, which allows safe working operations to the machinery below. A discreet appearance is created with the use of a matching colour to surrounding equipment.
